THE CLIENT: Cardiff Apartments

Cardiff Apartments is based in South Wales and comprises several
luxury properties, located within comfortable walking distance
of Cardiff City centre. Apartments at these properties are
available to rent, and are furnished and maintained to the
highest standards.
THE BRIEF: Create a website
to market the company's serviced apartments and invite clients
to book accommodation.
The project required both interior and exterior photography,
to show visitors the high standard of furnishings, the location,
and the striking apartment buildings themselves.
The website had to provide information about Cardiff City
itself; directions for clients to use in order to travel to
the apartments, and an enquiry system.
OUR APPROACH: Users of the
website would have visited various other sites for luxury
serviced accomodation. These visitors were likely to be busy
professionals, prone to using the web for facilitating business
solutions, who needed to find solutions to their needs with
ease.
This site had to exude a style that complimented the apartments
themselves, and present those apartments to the visitor in
an attractive way. The Cardiff Apartments website had to shine,
and do its job efficiently.
To set the tone, the website used a confident and straightforward
look. Sharp touches of blue and purple are used to accent
greys and desaturated greens, raising the notion of a vibrant,
cosmopolitan style, set against a cool backdrop.
DEVELOPMENT: Using an easy
to follow navigation menu, the site links just six main pages,
with the focus on apartment details, and getting around Cardiff
city centre. Contact and Enquiry pages were implemented, along
with Terms & Conditions; the Location and Apartment-Images
sections however, were the most demanding.
Clear and concise links take visitors to photos of the apartments.
Convenience is key here, and s visitor's curiosity must be
satisfied with brief, informative content, that is easy to
locate.
Cardiff Apartments' Location section uses an area-visualisation
concept, that we have developed for clients that want a sophisticated
solution to maps and guides for their business. Using this
service our guides accurately depict a location in 3D, to
1:1 scale.
The resulting site enables our client to project the right
image to their market, with the confidence that their website
reflects their own high professional standards.
